FocusDose ("we," "our," or "the app") is an ADHD medication tracking and focus monitoring application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in relation to your use of the app.

2. Information We Collect

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do NOT collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data.

The following information is stored locally on your device:

• Medication Information: Medication names, dosages, types (stimulant/non-stimulant), schedules, and custom colors
• Dose Logs: Timestamps of when you took your medication, optional notes, and device sync information
• Focus Entries: Self-reported focus levels (0-10), energy levels (0-10), restlessness levels (0-10), timestamps, and optional notes
• Side Effects: Types of side effects experienced (appetite loss, sleep issues, headaches, etc.), severity ratings (0-10), timestamps, optional notes, and links to specific medications
• Reminder Preferences: Notification schedules, active hours, reminder patterns (daily, specific days, intervals), and notification enablement settings
• Subscription Status: Information about your premium subscription status, managed by Apple through StoreKit

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively on your device to:

• Track your medication intake and adherence
• Monitor your focus, energy, and restlessness levels over time
• Log and track side effects
• Send local notifications for medication reminders
• Generate reports and insights about your medication effectiveness
• Provide smart timing suggestions based on your patterns

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit your data to any third parties.

The only third-party service integrated is:

• Apple StoreKit: Used solely for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple may collect purchase-related information according to their own privacy policy.

5. Data Security

Your health data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework with the following security measures:

• All data is stored in your device's secure sandbox environment
• Data is encrypted at rest by iOS
• Data is protected by your device's passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID
• No cloud synchronization or backup of health data (unless you enable iCloud backup, which is controlled by your iOS settings)

6. Local Notifications

FocusDose uses Apple's User Notifications framework to send local reminders. These notifications:

• Are generated locally on your device
• Require your explicit permission
• Can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings
• Do not transmit any data outside your device

7. Health Data and Medical Disclaimer

FocusDose is designed to help you track your ADHD medication and related symptoms. However:

• The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice
• Always consult with your healthcare provider before making medication decisions
• The app does not integrate with Apple Health or other health platforms
• Data logged in the app should not replace professional medical advice

8. Children's Privacy

FocusDose is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the app with parental guidance. Parents can monitor app usage through Screen Time settings.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Data Retention: Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Delete Individual Items: You can delete medications, dose logs, focus entries, and side effects individually within the app
• Complete Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device
• No Server Copies: Since we don't store data on servers, deletion from your device is permanent and complete

10. Your Rights

As all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your data within the app at any time
• Modify: Edit or update any information you've entered
• Delete: Remove any or all data at your discretion
• Export: Generate PDF reports of your data (Premium feature)

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Compliance

Our privacy practices comply with:

• Apple App Store guidelines
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European users
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California users
• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) principles (though the app is not a covered entity)

13. International Users

FocusDose is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device, no data crosses international borders or is subject to international data transfer regulations.

14. Analytics and Tracking

FocusDose does not use any analytics services, tracking tools, or advertising platforms. We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or behavioral data. Your use of the app is completely private.
